Existence of this article[edit]
The Clash's first official recording was the single for 'White Riot', released by CBS Records in March 1977. In April, CBS released their self-titled debut album, The Clash, in the United Kingdom, but refused to release it in the United States, saying that the sound was not “radio friendly”.
- On the other hand, Sandinista was a band defining album as it showed the many faces to the Clash's style, and showed they could experiment with even the most unusual sounds. Like most bands the Clash werent short of controversy and in fighting, firstly Strummers anti - capitalist, anti - bourgeois lyrics became a rallying cry for the left wing.
- THE CLASH Formed in 1976 in the vanguard of British punk, The Clash would soon become the most iconic rock band of their era, a symbol of intelligent protest and stylish rebellion in the turbulent years of the late ’70s and early ’80s. Just as importantly, they were to become unflinching musical pioneers, integrating first.

Why does this exist as a seperate article? The main article at The Clash contains the same information, only with different HTML layoput and different supposedly fair-use album cover images. Either the list at The Clash should be trimmed down to summary form with a reference to this article, or this article should be deleted as a duplicate of an existing article, or, in this case, article's section. The Cost of Living[edit]
The cost of living redirects to 'cost of living index', I wonder if there's an article about named EP (should be!)
Vanilla Tapes[edit]
I noticed there was no mention of The Vanilla Tapes, but wiki does have an article. How about adding it to the discography now that they were released on cd?72.78.154.167 (talk) 20:46, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Missing Item?[edit]
I am unsure of the exact status of 'Down at the Casbah Club' (https://www.discogs.com/Clash-Down-At-The-Casbah-Club-OrThe-Return-Of-Tory-Crimes/release/1904524). I do believe it is an official release, though not, as far as I know, released to the general public. But I think it was Clash sanctioned and not a bootleg or the like, so it seems it should be in the discography. (I got my copy from a used record store, with a stamp declaring it the property of a radio station.) So, does anyone have an opinion about where it should be included? Or if it should be included? 69.255.61.212 (talk) 02:09, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
